    I also have around 10-15K in 1000 Rupee notes. Let me know if anyone knows where I can get this changed here.

    I probably lose few thousand rupees if cant exchange but frankly I don't mind as this is a most welcome move.

    just opened my office drawer and found 310 rupees and one 20 Philippines peso note. I should be fine LOL

    The notes will make interesting keepsakes for future generations!

    It is strange coincidence that just yesterday i was listening to a freakonomics podcast "why are we still using cash". They mentioned India quite prominently and how it was really pushing ahead in this arena.

    I have close to 1 Lakh and was told by a money changer that SBI will take it in TST but offer me half the value.

    Pakistan prints Indian currency more than they print their own. This currency ban by PM Modi will curb terror funding. Only a visionary leader like PM Modi could have done this, this will directly impact terrorism as they work on hawala money
