    Trump and North Korea...

Any ideas how this is likely to pan out? Hopefully it stays as just a lot of talk....

    Kim vs Trump

I think this is the first time in 200+ days that Trump's rants have rattled the markets.

Or is the market taking Kim's threat to attack Guam more seriously?

Members of Donald Trump’s administration have repeatedly signaled that they might be willing to use military force against North Korea—even if it inflicted on the Korean peninsula the worst human catastrophe in living memory—if it meant preventing Kim Jong Un from acquiring the capability to strike the United States with a nuclear weapon. But on Tuesday, the president himself did something different. He threatened to inflict the worst human catastrophe in living memory if North Korea were to so much as threaten the United States. Period.

"The KPA Strategic Force is now carefully examining the operational plan for making an enveloping fire at the areas around Guam with medium-to-long-range strategic ballistic rocket Hwasong-12 in order to contain the U.S. major military bases on Guam including the Anderson Air Force Base," the spokesman said.

A number of scenarios have been mapped out by Bloomberg. I guess talking about the worst case scenarios is more interesting than what ** pointed out - likely nothing will happen and both of them will loose a lot of face.

This one is a bit too close to us for comfort.

What worries me is that Trump knows Americans love wars, and that if he starts a war his approval record will go from the 30s to the 80s (%). He is desperate to be popular, so he might just start a war out of desperation.

I am pretty worried, with these two nutters. Hopefully if he declares war someone (Pence, Congress?) will come up and stop him.

How? It's not like Trump had any face anyway so how can they even lose more face.

Trump is an average Joe, he just said out loud what any Midwest American would have said in a Diner.

What is sad is that media, still react as if he was a "normal" president. he is not. He can say what he said, go for a round of golf and never ever do anything about NK.

There is no face to lose for him. He has none.

Put both in one room, both with one nuclear bomb. Watch from safe distance.
