Something new that I learnt today:

Most projections so far are for the Senate, where only over-25s vote. For the Lower House, where the voting age is 18, non-establishment parties could do even better.

BBC are saying Berlusconi's coalition will be the biggest group in the lower house. The League is part of the coalition.

They appear to have some very sensible positions, apart from their anti-science stupidity, and given the state of Italian politics for decades it is no surprise that the establishment parties will lose to a relative newcomer offering a promise of change.

Why do they take so long to get results in? Anyone know how the counting works?
