Foreign Affairs: How China Interferes in Australia — And How Democracies Can Push Back

Australia is the canary in the coal mine of Chinese Communist Party interference. Over the past 18 months, the country has been shaken by allegations of the Chinese party-state working to covertly manipulate the Australian political system and curate the wider political landscape.

There are claims of Beijing-linked political donors buying access and influence, universities being co-opted as “propaganda vehicles,” and Australian-funded scientific research being diverted to aid the modernization of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA)...

It's a good, sobering read. Resident United Front wumaos are sincerely encouraged to respond.

@Sith Sorry about that. I've read articles on that site on a few occasions and never seen a request to register. Could be geoblocked but I don't see the point of that.

The pastebin link above works as well.

CCP's major business partners / exporters in Australia have managed to hold back any pushback for years if not decades, but Australia merely calling for an "independent investigation into the origins and handling of the coronavirus" pandemic was the straw that broke the camel's back.

And instead of Australia pushing back, it's the CCP pre-emptively tariffing out Aussie exports or banning them outright!

Should've seen that one coming. Billions of hurt Chinese consumers waste no time in articulating their collective demand into proactive People'sRepublic state policy...

Now the aussies are finally facing the ultimate question: "Vassals or enemies?"
