Following the successful rehabilitation of Boracay the next target is Manila Bay.
The target is to reduce the shit reading of the water from 330 million to 100 (a percentage that is too big for me to bother to work out). That would make it safe to swim in. Target is one year but will likely take longer.
Hotels and other establishments have been told to stop breaking the law by discharging sewage and other waste direct into the water or face closure.
Over 100 elected officials are facing criminal cases for failing to enact environmental laws
Around 1 million illegal settlers (squatters) will be relocated to new housing with livelihood assistance.
All that is happening, like Boracay, is enforcing the existing environmental laws and punishing corruption that allowed the breaches. It will probably requirenew laws on plastics though.
P.S. Manila already has casinos.
