Which is significant because it highlights other factors such as no one knows an acceptable solution to the Northern Ireland problem. Did the average voter realise this was such an insurmountable problem? Did they realise Brexit might mean a return to the Troubles with the bombs and riots and deaths?

Did you not know the UK had signed up to the Good Friday Agreement?

Yes. The deal seems to make leaving too unpalatable to actually leave, which I would argue is against the spirit of Article 50.

Perhaps but it was discussed at the time. That the remain camp did not articulate it well is not the fault of the voter. It is not new and the arguments now are the same as 3 years ago. If the parties had found a workable solution it would not be so prominent in the news.

Are you saying the Good Friday Agreement was not part of the Brexit discussion before the vote?

I am arguing a 2nd referendum is not needed as nothing has really changed in the last 3 years.

Probably a lot more than you given my history. Did the average voter know the impact of Brexit on the GFA?

I would say probably not. There were plenty of high brow articles in the Guardian and late night BBC but the remain camp failed to articulate it to the masses. As they played badly better have another go... Best out of 3

I think that is the perfect scenario. Unfortunately the two main parties don't know what they stand for on the EU so it would take a while to sort that out first.
