The taxi licensing schemes in HK - majority of the licenses are held by a closed group of people (apparently Maria Tam is one of the major license owners). I find it interesting that HK has not had the issues with people offloading these licenses to unsuspecting individuals and the owners have continued to hold them.

Could it be that most of the Taxi drivers/license holders are locals who wouldn't have language or local customs as a barrier?

Another good one. Too long to read in one go, but tells a good story and worth bookmarking for further reading...

Don’t think this magazine has been posted here before, some interesting articles on their site.

After 15 Years, the Pirate Bay Still Can’t Be Killed - MEL Magazine

Sunde has been the most visible, creating (and selling) the microtransaction app Flattr and being involved in socialist politics, even running for a seat in the European Parliament as the representative of Finland’s Pirate Party. Svartholm Warg is reportedly getting back into IT work, albeit behind the scenes. And Neij is back in Southeast Asia, raising a family with his wife.

Each of the founders say they’re no longer involved in The Pirate Bay.
