Actually just to correct your misunderstanding the UNCLOS ruling does NOT prohibit Chinese fishing. It allows for traditional fishing rights even at Scarborough Shoal.

I seem to recall Mr Gove saying a similar scheme for the UK waters post Brexit to ensure the fishing rights the central government sells to foreign countries aren't abused.
    Whose coast guard?

Create a law requiring CCTV monitoring to fish. No CCTV then fishing would be illegal and the coast guard can board the boats as they do now for other illegal fishing activities.

But not Malaysia who occupy Sabah province.

Asking fishing boats to follow the law in terms of the species and quantities they catch is not taking on the Chinese Navy it is protecting a national asset.

What is more important? Managing the fisheries for the nation or placating China?

You know that is rubbish don't you. Aquino gave away Scarborough Shoal, the artificial islands and Benham Rise. He got nothing in return.

Duterte has lost no territory, has gained Benham Rise and shared fishing at Scarborough Shoal.

But then you are facts are not related are they. Pointless debating with someone who has lost their grip on reality.

For those who live in the real world, interestingly China has now deleted their version of events. No idea what that means

Are we talking about the same China or some other China that respects the rule of law?
