BBC: Inside China's 'thought transformation' camps

I'm surprised they let the BBC in to film and ask tough questions.

Too bad the reporter John Sudworth didn't ask: “How does one graduate?”

Wow...just...wow. Crazy. I guess when you are fluent in Mandarin and "thinking right" you get to leave...hmm, would take a while for me, just the Mandarin part. The scale is pretty amazing.

Interesting they invite journalists in - obviously they don't realise how it is perceived.
Poor devils - reminds me of a 'monkeys riding bicycles' show I saw on the mainland.

Didn't one poster on here want their kids to go so they could be fully patriotic to Mr Xi.

A cynic would think the men in the buses at the end were going back to their internment own camp away from the shiney showcase camp

The circus in the classroom makes it so obvious it's all a big show.

That could have been a film adaptation of an Orwell novel . . . grim and stomach-churning.

It's the making you smile and sing and dance about your own captivity that is so scary...

The guy at the end being told off by the govt officials for not being able to answer questions correctly, bet you he will suddenly disappear.
