Surely 4 days is just not enough time to decide a winner - It's just not cricket

Will test matches become 4 days (to allow more time for more T20, ODI's) in the near future?

A busy player already notches up 40-50 matches in a season. Is more cricket better?

    - are you saying they don't have rest days anymore? Been a couple of decades since I've followed a test match or cricket in general. Embarrassing when I meet someone who just assumes I've memorised scores and stats from whatever match India played in.

The thing I like most about test cricket is that it makes my sport look fast and high-octane. Chess - it only takes 4 hours!

And you get to bowl a maiden (or queen if you're pedantic) over.

Yeah but in chess that's frowned upon. Certainly if you do it from 22 yards away.

The millenials haven't gotten round to chess yet.

You might as well open a latte shop and a retro barbershop at the next chess tournament.

If they can speed up the play and bowl the same number of overs in 4 days that they would normally bowl in 5 days, then I don't see any problem. Otherwise I guess this change will just result in more drawn matches. It kind of sucks to play for 5 days and then end up with a draw. If you think soccer is stupid playing 90 minutes and ends in a draw, imagine playing for 5 days for the same result!

Cricket?! That's about as exciting as watching grass grow or paint dry.

Relax, I am just kidding, 20/20 version of the game is watchable for me.
