Exclamation North Korea's Kim Jung Un in 'Grave Condition'?

Leader of the hermit state, Kim Jong Un, was suspiciously absent from the annual celebration of his father/grandfather/ NK's founding, and it is now said that he underwent cardiovascular surgery and may not be out of the woods yet.

His sister Kim Yo Jong may be the next in line should he not make it.

Yes, it's best just to go directly to the horse's mouth:

    Democratic People's Republic of Korea

However the main cause for concern is the fact it's extremely bizarre for a North Korean leader to have missed the country's founding day celebrations, and be absent from photos of the event.

Obese, unhealthy guy, cardio issues, coronavirus....

That isn't what Yonhap is saying:

(ATTN: ADDS more info throughout)SEOUL, April 21 (Yonhap) -- South Korea has seen no unusual signs with regard to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's health, a government source said Tuesday, after CNN reported that Kim is "in grave danger after a surgery."

CNN cited an unidentified "U.S. official with direct knowledge," but offered no further details.

A South Korean government source said there have been no relevant signs detected with regard to Kim's health conditions, emphasizing that Kim continued to be shown in public until recent days.

The report came after a South Korean internet news outlet reported that Kim has been receiving medical treatment at a villa in the resort county of Hyangsan, outside of Pyongyang, following a cardiovascular procedure.

Speculation has arisen about what happened to Kim since he apparently skipped an annual visit to the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on the occasion of the 108th birthday of his late grandfather and state founder Kim Il-sung last Wednesday.

Kim was last seen on April 11 in state media reports presiding over a political bureau meeting of the ruling Workers' Party on Saturday, calling for "strict national countermeasures to thoroughly check the infiltration of the virus."

The unification ministry handling inter-Korean affairs declined to comment on the CNN report.

Kim has reportedly had health problems apparently linked to obesity and heavy smoking. His prolonged absence from public view has frequently raised the possibility of deterioration in his health.

It is extremely difficult to obtain information about the reclusive country, especially about its leader.

Kim took over as leader after his father Kim Jong-il died in late 2011.

There's a lot more information on the Korean Chosun Ilbo (translated):

Earlier, North Korean media Daily NK reported on the 20th that Kim Jong-un had recently undergone a cardiovascular procedure. The media quoted North Korean sources as saying, “Chairman Kim was undergoing cardiovascular treatment at the Hyangsan Clinic, a dedicated hospital of the Kim family, located in Myohyangsan District, North Pyongan Province on the 12th and receiving treatment at a nearby Hyangsan special hospital.”

The source said, “The procedure was directly performed by a surgeon in charge of Kimman You Hospital in Pyongyang, and the doctors in charge of 'No. 1' belonging to Chosun Red Cross Hospital and Pyongyang Medical University Hospital, as well as Kim Man You Hospital, were all called to Hyangsan Medical Center in Pyongyang. I said. After the procedure, Kim Eun-eun's condition improved, and only a portion of the medical staff remained in Hyangsan Special Area to monitor the condition, DailyNK said.

Some view Jesus' resurrection as usual, for some it was unusual.

I don't believe anything North Korea says about anything.

He may not have been there because he was sick, that doesn't mean he is dying.

When it comes to North and South Korea I just assume it is to be filed under "based on a true story" fiction
