Here is 'that view' (that many HK people believe masks to be the prime/only reason for low infections)

Written tonight on the HK quarantine support group, which is oft quoted here on GeoName: Masks.png

    Clear as day.

Those thinking of heading to Europe to avoid the measures here and resurgence of cases could be in for a nasty surprise if the trend continues.

Dog dies of coronavirus (tested positive, not totally clear if the illness he had was Covid-19, a bit confusing, owners euthanized him)...in NYC.

Worrisome... if virus has actually crossed to pets.

Whether true or false, just the reports will cause some to euthanize their pets as a precaution.

Little kids (under 5 crowd) can carry about 10 times the viral load of adults. Which any parent with a kid in preschool/daycare/kindergarten could have told you...I never was so sick as I was from the stuff my apparently-immune child brought home from daycare...walking petri dishes that don't socially distance, ever.

This says everything about the US pandemic response that needs to be said:

    Meanwhile in Sweden...

“With numbers diminishing very quickly in Sweden, we see no point in wearing a face mask in Sweden, not even on public transport,” Tegnell said.

    And a quite different view:

    So much for social distancing
    – thousands of Muslims crowd ferries in Bangladesh heading home for Eid-ul-Adha religious festival endangering themselves and their families.

Ironically, the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ celebrates Abraham’s unquestioning willingness to kill his son for religious reasons.

Also ironically, the government’s message was the hope that “the festival would bring happiness to all after overcoming the darkness of the coronavirus pandemic”.
    Right
