Will this turn into another shit show like the Trump vs Biden debate. I hope not. And Pence is not Trump, it's not his style to go on borderline insane rants. Besides, it will look especially bad for Pence if he is seen as trying to bully a woman. Women voters are already turning against Trump, so any action seen as being sexist will not help.
So hopefully, there will be more debate on the substance, on policies and so forth. Of course, a Vice-Presidents' power on paper is rather limited. Although their actual decision-making and execution of duty can vary a lot, from being pretty useless like a painting or plant just existing there in the background to playing an active role in shaping and implementing policies (Biden btw was a pretty active Vice-President in the Obama administration). So we'll see how the debate goes.
