You're really trying to get Christmas donations, aren't you?

    So Rappler's story today

    https://www.rappler.com/nation/coron...ctober-30-2021

Other media outlets thought it worth mentioning that 373 of the deaths reported today were actually old but now corrected data.

    Gutter press

I suppose Dmitry Muratov, the co-laureate, is more deserving:

Just so you know how much value to put in reports from the Philippines (the latest Reuters survey). So.2019 Rappler least trusted, 2020 second least trusted, 2021 back to least trusted. Manila Bulletin most trusted. Yet the international media, especially the BBC only use Rappler and never the MB. Wonder why?

"Almost blocked". She has pending legal cases in court. The court has to review any application to travel which they did and allowed her to travel.

So the highly persecuted journalist under a repressive and murderous dictator is allowed to publish whatever she wants without censureship and is allowed to travel even in a pandemic. Luckily she is not travelling to Hong Kong or I hate to think how they would describe her quarantine.

She and Dmitry Muratov were on Hard Talk ( with Stephen Sackur ) yesterday. Missed it though but surely still available ( podcast, on demand etc )
