While the quality of life is OK and the positive outweighs the negative then happy to stick around.

Someone has to help the kids with their school work

Please get everyone donating and share share share

The photo on the appeal is one of our earliest ones.

The girl in the "love" shirt is my eldest, behind her is my wife, by her elbow is the middle daughter.

The kids are Aeta, life expectancy 16 years old.

The village is on the edge of the mountains and hundreds appeared from there. We had an armed guard but eventually they suggested we leave for our safety.

I just wanted to post a thank you to all who have donated including one by Western Union. We will be able to do a lot with the money.

You really are an amazing bunch of people.

More donations would still be welcomed, I would love to get to a £1000.

    .
I just want to clarify...16 years?! So no one from that group makes it into adulthood?! You mean average child-age expectancy? What about adult life expectancy?

Average life expectancy as a whole. If they make it to adulthood I think it is 30 something but not sure on that. We asked a teacher the main reason for non attendance and he said hunger. Too hungry to walk over the mountains to get to school.

They are doing much better locally as there is masses of construction work but it is always a precarious life.

The Aeta are the indigenous people. They fought off the newer arrivals, they were never conquered by the Spanish, the held out against the Japanese, they were smashed when Pinatubo erupted as the Pinatubo range was and is their home

My wife is hard at work using your donations.

These food parcels are for the street children who survive by scavenging, especially plastic they sell for recycling.

The photos include where they cook on the street what they can scavenge. Our hearts bleed for the poor little things. Donation site is still open!

All donors are now officially angels according to my wife. These are stubs my wife gives out to prevent people getting two or more lots via volunteers at the "food depot" she has set up at a friends. They have to get a stub from her first to claim food. Focus is street kids, orphanage, elderly without family support.
