    It's deep-rooted in the population.

◆ The government has stopped new entry of foreigners from all over the world as a countermeasure against the "Omicron strain". Are you for or against it?
    ・ For 89
    ・ Against 8
    ・ Neither 3

The quota has never been full. Utilisation is averaging around 10% (although slightly higher if you discount the Macau/Zhuhai/HK crossing as most people use Shenzhen Bay).

The reason no hordes are arriving is because the inevitable quarantine going the other way. No one is going to come south for a day-trip when that entails 21 days quarantine afterwards.

So yes, like we said, the border with China isn’t open.

Pampanga province (population 2.5 million) recorded zero new cases yesterday. Another 177 schools reopened (there have been no cases among students or staff in the first weeks). All going well touch wood and waiting to see on omicron.

The jump in ranking would have been even better but they are ploughing through all the old cases checking so most of the deaths are old ones. For example today there were 113 deaths reported but only 14 were recent.

Change of scene after 7 days, a bus ride, and some cool fresh air while you're there. And you save 7 days of hotel costs. Sounds like a win to me honestly unless you were booked into somewhere top end and don't mind the cost.

Not much chance that any decisions made now are still in force and unchanged in two weeks time though.

I don't think you save on 7 days hotel costs. It would be illogical given that helpers employers have to pay QT in full for PB. I am trying to find the answer out on that point. No one has this nailed definitively. Also good luck with trying to rebook a hotel.
