You think that someone wearing a significant amount of equipment including a heavy weapon, wearing full body clothing and probably a protective vest, in a Texas summer whilst screaming out to bystanders and heading towards gunfire and all the adrenaline that entails... shouldn't be panting?
This isn't someone pulling on their runners and Lululemon gear going for an early morning jog by the lakeside.

Oh, yay! Getting ready for the 4th of July. Very near Fort McHenry, which Francis Scott Key was watching as he wrote the national anthem about the rockets' red glare and all that. So, you know, just a battle re-enactment of the War of 1812...
I am sad as I lived in Baltimore at one time (as did my mother and brother) and it is (was?) actually a great place and very beautiful. But..yeah. Lately, a little violent.
So, it's almost starting to be a wager situation, just how many will be killed over the 4th of July holiday? I mean, you have heat, drinking, fireworks, and guns, what could possibly go wrong? Of course, you need sub-categories of how many will die due to drunken events, vs. fireworks events, vs. gun events, or you can just have your Bingo card set for total deaths.
Seems like a low total of merely 10 people dead in mass shootings, we can only hope that some critically-wounded in the hospitals oblige so that we can get a better record for 2023. They need to step it up (4th of July still has many hours left!). Last year got off to a strong start due to the mass shooting at a parade, so it made it more challenging to beat the record this year, but I DO have faith in my fellow Americans!

Well, slightly disappointing. Seems MORE total people shot than last year but, due to bad aim on the part of the shooter or better doctors, more people are surviving so only 14 dead (but, still time for the wounded!). The DC shooting of 9 people was the most disappointing, that shooter needs to go back to the range or get him some better weapons!
A last-minute entry by Shreveport, Louisiana saved things from being a total wash-out (4 dead, 7 injured). And, yes, you DO earn extra points if it's during an actual July 4th celebration (parade, picnic, fireworks, your choice) so, well done, Shreveport!,

Fighting during the fireworks (extra points) over jet ski use too close to shore near kids.
Shoot-out between both groups. 7-year-old and his grandfather hide in truck, stray bullet kills 7-year-old. Kind of an "attempted mass shooting" but including it because it DID happen on the 4th of July AND during the fireworks, so has a lot of good "holiday weekend mass shooting" vibes. Unfortunately, doesn't seem that either of the two groups of shooters managed to kill each other, which would like have benefitted society.
