The US has very socialist approach to the cost of firearms. Society picks up all the costs not the users. If guns migrate from being legally owned and used to illegally owned and used the cost is socilaised.

In the USA there are more laws around the disposal plastic beverage bottles than guns just as there are more laws about the selling and storage of rodenticide than there are for the main tool for homicide.

What makes the USA different. The democratic party have basically done nothing for 50 years on gun control and or responsible ownership. Thoughts and Prayers...

Political response that does not really answer the question. Why have the democrats and the republicans done nothing? Why is it acceptable in the USA that the cost is socialised?

Chronic Gerrymandering means a lot of politicians choose their voters rather than the way it should be. Incumbents tend not to change much.

    Anyway -
The Republicans clearly have a mandate to do nothing.
The Democratics thought Obamacare was more important when they had the chance.

Still puzzled by the reported number of guns being so low in the Philippines.

Gun surrender. Is it UK, HK or the Philippines? Guess.

The high murder rate in the Philippines was mentioned and many of these are shootings.

So we have hundreds of shootings, plenty of gun stores, loads of illegal guns but the number of guns is less than the UK?

What political benefit is there to try to formally and accurately count the guns?
