Singapore is still counting properly and has about 3000.
They're counting the infections they happen to log... so ppl who go to hospitals, doctors etc. If you feel sick and think you have the flu, not sure if Covid or seasonal flu, you can report to work and pass your flu to everyone, or call in sick and stay in bed until you feel better. If you're curious whether its flu or Covid, you can buy a RAT to check or you can just sleep in. There's no website or phone line to call available just for ppl to report that they're positive.

The Health Minister wanted to stop tracking and publishing full-on infection stats last year, asked a couple of experts if it is a good idea and they said yes because not meaningful at all and so they stopped...

No media response, no discussion of covid. It's like it doesn't exist. It's great!! Just very occasional mentions of a rise in covid numbers on the news.

Far more important stuff to discuss. Rail strikes, inflation, poverty, partygate, hot weather, trans swimmers, the return of the seventies, etc etc

The HK 5th wave is probably the best thing that has happened in all of China covid... there's now a city in China that isn't afraid, and which has demonstrated that it is no drama in a vaccinated population. Even the mainland doctors went home knowing that mismanagement and panic from asymptomatic healthy idiots were the only things that led the hospitals to overflow.
No this definitely can't be right - Most of the covid experts on Geo (Loosely referred to as 'HK experts') insist that it will only be endemic when the WHO announces the end to the pandemic - And that definitely hasn't happened.

In HK we have, plague, epidemic and pandemic! As long as it sounds shit, they'll keep claiming it's game on.

Exit wave. Once they have all had it, can come back to work and the next time it's less than a cold.
