On the one hand, I'm glad he was made accountable but on the other, it's going to be a complete sh*tshow.

Is there anything to stop all the sacked staff setting up a new rival? Tweeter?

The problem was that they weren't very good at it?

There was as never going to be a good outcome to this. It was like watching a slow motion train wreck, it was just a question of would the train explode in a ball of fire first, or jump the tracks and plummet from a bridge into the ocean.

I do think the CFO and Gen Cons did a pretty damn good job getting Elon to walk in with a sink and (about?) $44B.

I can understand he has a beef with the CEO/CTO and may be their policy / lobbying head... but 10/10 to their CFO and Gen Cons.

So on his 1st day at work, he fired the top guys he thot would have been the ones responsible for first raising a stink abt him irresponsibly tweeting to buy, then abt him actually buying, then abt him irresponsibly tweeting that hinted at buyers remorse, then abt him actually not wanting to buy and then insisting on the buy.. :p

So cold but they must have expected this to happen..

Not just expecting to be fired, I'd be hoping and praying ... I'd think they will be appropriately compensated, not like Elon wants to be hauled back into court.. or may be he does?

We'll find out more the a spin-off mini-series which deals with this side show.
