Philippines to deport 40,000 Chinese workers

What is the betting there is some Hong Kong triad involvement in these operations.

Hard to understand the truth on this. On the one hand they are said to be paid USD 2000 per month but on the other hand they are victims of human trafficking, traded between operations and kept locked in apartments when not working.

The deportation has the support of China so I doubt they will get a warm welcome home.

Will knock Manila apartment prices in the short term so it is one way of cutting inflation

Online Casinos has become really big business, the Chinese is non-stop seeking offshore countries to build their base for this. First it was Cambodia, then they cracked down on it there (although it seems to partly be back) then Phil and others.

Big money for everyone, including corrupt officials. It has been a dilemma, good for the economy but bad for society.

Good riddance. Too many Chinese there anyway. They trash up the environment too. Just like what they do in China. I hear many Filipino’s want them to leave.
