Putting aside all the political crap, the athletes put on a great show and this was a legendary final with the two stars playing a fantastic game, possibly the best WC final I've ever seen.

I don't particularly like either the French or Argentinian football teams and felt they were both fortunate to be in the final, but what a show. Argentina deserved winners but crazy to think France could have snatched it in the last minute.

Ronaldo must be sickened by Messi's goals and WC. He is clearly on the decline, went out of the tournament to Morocco and then had to watch his rival cement his place in history with a WC he won't ever match. Probably shifted the Messi vs Ronaldo debate in the minds of many.
