More on the topic of bankers who are conspicuously not "mak[ing] a shit tonne on this deal":

I would say that 60 cents on the dollar is massively overpriced still.

    Meanwhile...

The seller, a member of data breach forums named Ryushi, claims the data was scraped via a vulnerability, it includes emails and phone numbers of celebrities, politicians, companies, normal users, and a lot of OG and special usernames.

The seller is also inviting Twitter and Elon Musk to buy the data to avoid GDPR lawsuits.

“Twitter or Elon Musk if you are reading this you are already risking a GDPR fine over 5.4m breach imaging the fine of 400m users breach source. Your best option to avoid paying $276 million USD in GDPR breach fines like facebook did (due to 533m users being scraped) is to buy this data exclusively.” reads the advertising.

The seller also announced that the sale is covered by the escrow service offered by the Breached forum administrators (pompompurin).

    😑😑😑

The stupid. It's really not newsworthy news at all and this is already in addition to others I've seen this week in context of making god gender neutral and all that. I posted it here because the article very nicely credited(blamed) Elon Musk for inspiring the research project because of some twitter feed issue and profiling nonsense..

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/202...ea-sex-binary/

This is getting to be a real pain. To think the only problem used to be trying to read the whole real scientific research online accessible only to subscribers or students. Now there are so many of these independent research journal publications that will publish anything which then immediately makes it look a bit legit, I end up having to read 10 other things to check how legit the publisher is beforehand >.<

Mr Musk reportedly fired a Twitter engineer who pointed out that the reach of his Twitter profile was falling because overall public interest in the billionaire was declining. The engineer showed Mr Musk that internet search traffic related to the Tesla owner had been falling since April 2022. The Verge first revealed the sacking
I don't know if the firing is true but I don't think it has anything to do with the man. Judging from the overall stupidity and misinfo bs from the balloons, far lesser than during pandemic, I think it is just lower everything because ppl just have less time to tweet or pay attn like before.

Spotted in another thread when I was searching for the last Twitter thread to post under.

;p I don't really want this to happen.. I been told my whole life 1. Casinos - the house always wins and 2. Banks are the safest. These 2 will never lose money.

So in my lifetime, the impossible has happened. More than 1 bank has gone under. Trump, a mere mortal, actually managed to bankrupt a casino (more than 1?) and also went on to be POTUS. I know ppl are gonna say some idiots get all the luck etc but what I worry about is cosmic karma theory see this as ppl who can achieve even the impossible belong in the same category of ppl meant for great things..

Twitter and FB aren't casinos but I'm not willing to risk it to test the limits of that theory..

Posting this to semi-troll here for a reason. I don't follow him but he must be both the best and worst person to troll. Best cuz I think he reads all the comments (doesn't take much tbh) so you can be assured he saw himself all insults and rants. Worst cuz it really has no impact on him whatsoever ;p but if you have some sort of idea or recommendation he might do it if he happens to agree with it..

Side note: I think I'm imagining this but just in case.. if that was meant as a sign, and you are that very neighbour OR just a neighbour within the 5 floors, can you tell me which floor/unit? Dun worry I don't want to become neighbour friends I just want to know who IT is..

I bet you would get a different outcome everytime you'd ask ChatGPT those questions. It's a language model combining words by probability based on what it thinks the context is. It doesn't actually understand what it says. That's why ChatGPT can't solve math problems correctly.
