If true, it's really surprising this wasn't caught when she was vetted on first appointment:

A previous Supreme Court Chief Justice in the Philippines was removed on the grounds that she had never been qualified in the first place.
- Had never been a judge before joining the SC
- Had never been lead lawyer in a court case, defense or prosecution
- Had not submitted the legally required 10 years of tax returns
- Failed a psychological assessment as part of her selection process.
How deeply do you expect them to vet? The undergraduate degree the university gave her is real - she may or may not have cheated to get it, but it is only now someone steps forward and accuses her of coping another thesis at the time. Sounds like they are digging this old case up now because of her connection to the president...

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/19/n...publicans.html[/QUOTE]Representative-elect George Santos admitted on Monday to misleading voters about his professional experience and educational history . . . In Monday’s interview, Mr. Santos admitted to The Post that he had not graduated from Baruch, nor had he graduated “from any institution of higher learning.” . . . Mr. Santos told The Post that even though he now admits to embellishing his résumé, it would not stop him from taking office.
“I am not a criminal,” Mr. Santos told The Post, adding he would still be an effective legislator.
I'm curious what his real cv looks like now..
Tbh, too late now but if I knew the state of politics/politicians gonna be like these few decades, I wld have gone for it. I've actually been suggesting this as gd career path to my friends w kids. It can be a v rewarding job, have some real world impact if you so inclined to learn and work at it but equally ok to semi slack and do min. if you want. Highly resilient to economy downturn, poor performance and mistakes and most scandals.. v gd prv sector options upon exit/retirement 👀
