Iran v Israel - Explosions in Iran 19/04

So has World War 3 begun today?

Israel is attacking Iran. Isfahan. Where the nuclear sites are.

Technically World War 3 probably began when Obama let Syria cross red lines with no reaction, nobody seems to fear hellfire anymore, especially with the nags about intervention…but definitely potential to continue to escalate.

Blasts are reported near the Iranian city of Isfahan.
Explosions were heard early on Friday near the Iranian city of Isfahan, according to an Iranian news agency affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. The agency, Fars News, said the cause of the explosions was not immediately clear.

The agency said the explosions were heard in Qahjavarestan, a small city in west-central Iran close to Isfahan airport. Flight tracking websites showed that civilian planes had diverted their routes away from the area.
Does not seem to be as widespread as I'd have thought it would be.

Israel throwing punches and expects their muscled up friends to have their backs.
Everyone should just stop retaliating and be the bigger man...

They're supposed to be nuclear weapons capable in a year or two or may be now ... if the Russians have transferred some shit to them in exchange of the drones.

    Isfahan
The Nuclear Technology Center of Isfahan is a nuclear research facility that currently operates a Miniature Neutron Source Reactor supplied by China. It is run by the AEOI.[32]

The Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) at Isfahan converts yellowcake into uranium hexafluoride. As of late October 2004, the site is 70% operational with 21 of 24 workshops completed. There is also a Zirconium Production Plant (ZPP) located nearby that produces the necessary ingredients and alloys for nuclear reactors. There is also a Fuel Plate Fabrication Plant (FPFP) at Isfahan.

As of 2022 another new nuclear construction development was built in suburban Isfahan .

    Also:

Three Iranian officials, who accused Israel of the attack, confirmed that a strike had hit a military air base near the city of Isfahan, in central Iran, early on Friday. The scale of the attack was also unclear.

Iranian news agencies reported that explosions were heard near the city, adding that nuclear facilities in the area had not been hit.

Seems like a minimum response when considering Netanyahu is in full skin-saving mode (and surely knows the Iranian drones were the best thing that could have happened for his chances of political survival).

Unfortunately the mullahs have already committed to fire and fury in response to any strike. What a mess.

Seems the mullahs have decided oblivion can be deferred to some future date and are telling their population nothing happened other than some domestic infiltrators flying drones. Everyone claims victory.
