I love that Americans are looking to use VPNs to bypass US internet censorship on their own citizens and get access to Chinese owned social media.

I didn't realise TikTok was banned in India since 2020.

Because that has worked out so well in regards to China and Russia over the last decade?

Ever since the orange dumpling the US is acting like a bully. Growing up in the UK, the US was espoused as the 'leader of the free world', the 'good guys' blah blah blah.

That's a nice canal you have there. Be a shame if anything happened to it.
So what actually changed about the world is you grew up and realised how it really works. But you are clinging on to your childhood viewpoint to help your adult argument.

India was the 2nd biggest market for Tik Tok with 200M users.

Guess what’s on top of US downloads?

Don't worry! There's still Instagram and shorts on YouTube (seem to be just the same as TikTok videos). And, uh Snapchat and others that I don't even have on my phone.

And other online shops though not the same as TT.

Do YouTube shorts allow you to watch whole movies or TV series as with TT?

I think the old farts in Washington finally realised it would be like banning Netflix in terms of public reaction.

Nah, TikTok contributed to Trump's campaign. Remember when Trump thought Facebook was terrible? I think some money changed his mind as well.

US has the finest government that money can buy...
