    I mean, we are all primates. Hardly seems like there was any malice behind what she said. But yeah, 2024. Gotta be very careful with your words, especially when you're in the public eye.

    I can honestly say I have never called anyone a primate. Why would she use the word?

    The term primate is used in religious circles - the Archbishop of Canterbury is the Primate of All England, for example.

    It was clearly just a slip of the tongue from a commentator who is herself of South Asian descent.
