I dunno. This isn't an appropriate comment on this thread, but... I distinctly remember getting my wisdom tooth removed. The specialist (forget what the name is for this one...) came at my mouth with essentially a pair of plyers... It went through my head... He somehow came to some decision, that his calling in life, what gives him pleasure to get up every day, what he does to earn money is remove a piece of a body from someone?! How the hell does anyone come to this conclusion?! (In reality he was super, super nice and caring and for me it was not painful at all! But the thought stayed with me.)
There's also the very famous and horrific case of the Black Dahlia murder many decades ago. I recently listened to a podcast about it, made by the family.
Psychiatrists have also struck me as odd. Maybe constantly listening to others problems builds up their own resentment? They are trained to use medicine to manipulate the mind.
Every country has their nutcases, but there can me, to me, some maddening things about Germany. When I was a student there the number of suicides was shocking.
Certainly seems to be some failures to prevent this, like blocking the emergency access. But overall, it feels like and is such a safe country.
I think most dentists choose that profession for the money - also it is a job they can do in Argentina if they have to flee their home country and go undercover.
