I literally just read that about 10 minutes ago. It's brutal. Like a group of people struggling and clinging to each other to keep from drowning even though they are collectively sinking.

And makes you wonder why urban planners and businesses that push local political - city and state agendas never put a focus on getting people to work and essential living needs cheaply and easily.

The very definition of an important but no-win job. I knew a couple of police officers in California who retired 10+ years ago and they are grateful to have finished up before this current era of policing.
