On the Run, a Hit Man Gives One Last Confession

Edgar Matobato said he fed a man to a crocodile, but only once. Mostly, he said, he ended people’s lives with a trusted weapon: his .45-caliber Colt M1911 pistol.

“For almost 24 years, I killed and disposed of many bodies,” Mr. Matobato said of his time with a death squad in Davao City, in the southern Philippines. “I am trying to remember, but I cannot remember everyone.”

    “I’m sorry,” he added.

If I am correct he is on the run for perjury and murder.

Just remembered another one, he claimed he killed this person. Except medical records showed he had died from cancer after battling it for several years.

In case anyone is wondering why this has come up now after his testimony several years ago it is for the same reason

Sara Duterte said she has hired a hit man to kill Marcos and others if she herself was killed

Sara Duterte faces not one but three impeachment cases, all identical, two from the communist party and one from the Catholic Church. They will not succeed.

That the Marcos controlled House has recommended Duterte senior be prosecuted for crimes against humanity with very little credible evidence. No one has actually files a case.

It is election time. Both sides have taken a hit to their approval ratings and most people are turned off.

If I had a vote and could be bothered to vote I would probably side with the Marcos camp.

Opinion polls show of the 12 Senate seats up for grabs it is
    Marcos camp 9
    Duterte camp 1
    Independent 2
    Liberal Party 0
    Communist fronts 0

Kafka - wanted all his books and letters destroyed for some reason - not sure how genuine. In the event, none of his friends and family followed his wishes - gestapo later confiscated a chunk and those may have been lost.

Born in British-ruled India, and at a time when women didn't have many rights or freedoms, Karve did the unthinkable: she pursued higher studies in a foreign country, became a college professor and India's first female anthropologist.

She also married a man of her choosing, swam in a bathing suit, drove a scooter and even dared to defy a racist hypothesis of her doctorate supervisor - a famous German anthropologist named Eugen Fischer.

Her writings about Indian culture and civilisation and its caste system are ground-breaking, and are a part of the curriculum in Indian colleges. Yet she remains an obscure figure in history and a lot about her life remains unknown.
