Facebook scraps 3rd party fact checkers

Support this purely because going by the Philippines at least the fact checkers were as biased as hell and very ineffective.

I'd rather read things I don't like than have some liberal in San Fransisco decide what I should and shouldn't be exposed to, based on their own biases.

Facebook's handling of the Biden laptop affair was shameful and anti-democratic. Same with how it dealt with the vaccine cautious during Covid. This new policy should help avoid that. Yes, there will be a lot more shit posted, but that's the downside of free speech: you don't get to always agree with what others say.

Have no time for Facebook, or for Zuckerberg, but support this move from a philosophical point of view.

sjsa, PLamHK and Corrib like this.

There aren't enough factcheckers in the world to adequately check the Donald and the Musk.

    The indignation is amusing.

'People will be able to post whatever they want!!"

Well, yeah. Other people will also be able to call out, debate, and correct whatever they want. That's how it's meant to work.
