Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people
A friend evacuated with her husband to their NYC apartment and watched online through their doorbell camera as the flames rapidly approached—and as they would soon learn, burned their house to the ground.
I've never understood how a place like Hollywood would be prone to uncontrollable wildfires. When I was growing up, you just heard about the bushires in Australia.
Apparently it's a place that's just constantly on fire.

Mrs Huja currently in L.A. for work. She is safe. A bunch of people I know have evacuated their homes. A bunch more haven't (yet) but are without power. Everyone is on edge as a single ember caught the up in Santa Ana wind can ignite a fire miles away.
I know it's not said 'seriously' but I doubt if it could happen to the Pope or Putin. They would heaven and hell (respectively) to ensure that their property was safe by digging the widest firebreaks and commanding the fire to stop or else.
