    ICC sanctioned

Interesting to see how this works out. Will the individuals risk sanctions. It seems to cover staff, lawyers and witnesses.

As a side note the case against Duterte would seem to come under this though after nearly nine years their key witness currently under protective custody was shown to have repeatedly lied under oath live on TV. Hard to see how they can present him as a credible witness. They are appealing for any other witnesses.

This is hysterical. US "unsigned" itself from the statute/treaty/whatever that created the Court. Bill Clinton signed, George W. Bush "unsigned" because, yeah, we ignore that stuff like the Paris climate agreement.

And, of course, we voted against it in the first place. Along with all these exciting countries known for their strong human rights' stances:

China, Yemen, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Qatar.

We are Israel's lapdog, always have been. Our Middle East foreign policy is based on a very simple principle: Israel=good Islamic countries=bad. That is the level of deep analysis we engage in. Nothing further is needed.

125 out of 193 countries in UN are members of ICC so quite a few not in.

10 convictions in over 20 years, no westerners.

The US unsigned because the Constitution makes SCOTUS the highest court. Having the ICC try Americans for crimes committed on American soil would require an amendment.
