Have you never been for a night out in Newcastle in December?

I didn't know Glastonbury was full of homeless people (from the thumbnail)

From the content - it's just a series of stock videos stitched together with some guy (possibly AI) speaking. These videos have no research and are easy to churn out very quickly.

The term for these videos is slop

However, I do think homeless populations have increased in many places, the pandemic and various interest rate issues made the housing market pretty nuts at least in the US and UK. People are priced out.

And then...drugs and alcohol, at least in the US and, I'm guessing, UK.

In general, building of new housing units has not kept pace with need for affordable housing.

You have to be careful with the numbers and their definition. So in the chart above the UK has terrible homeless figures but the number without a roof over their head is a fraction of that in the USA.

Somebody mention the 3 million homeless in Manila bit that gives a false picture. My brother in law owned a nice large 4 bedroom house, all utilities connected. But officially him and his family were homeless because they had no legal title to the land. Squatters in effect.

From that chart I wonder if Illegal immigrants/fake asylum seekers is now a synonym for homeless
