He will cut taxes that benefit Elon Reeve Musk and Donald John Trump and their families' associated businesses.

Hey, hey, hey, let's not leave out other billionaires and their corporations. Corporate tax cuts for all!

The novel thing would be to do what Republicans always say is closest to their hearts and reduce the deficit. But populism and self interest rules.

I suspect you are correct. Mr Trump last time use the tax revenues to rectify the corporation tax that had been high by OECD country standards for some time. That was much needed.

But Mr Trump is a populist. The heartland voter he needs to keep to win the next election is the blue collar worker. He may be tempted to give tax relief in some populist way directly the this voter block. As we have seen in some jurisdictions rather than cut taxes (the easiest way) a government or leader striving for validity or popularity will cut a cheque or better still load up their Twitter or Facebook or Amazon or local digital wallet with several tranches of money before the next election cycle.

Though he ran as a populist, he is governing as an authoritarian.

And it's not like he's ever have to run for an election again. He can just keep sitting
