yeah exactly, or, when we were out and about in our neighborhood, we'd just use someone's front yard garden hose. As you said, climate certainly had an influence, but even then, having enjoyed many Australian hot summers, I dont remember being thirsty very often, and when we were, we'd buy an ice cold soft drink from our corner milk bar, or we'd settle for tap water.
