South Korea’s presidential office: the parliament had abused its authority

Will the re-instated acting President impeach those who had abused their authorities?

no. (Acting) president of Korea cannot “impeach” / remove national assembly member on his own.

Impeachment of a member of national assembly requires majority vote, which is controlled by opposition, so unlikely. Even if impeachment is somehow passed in national assembly, constitutional court will likely strike down (in last week’s impeachment case they clearly noted serial impeachment by opposition does not constitute abuse of power during the ruling, and cited that they had valid grounds to raise impeachment motion)

If a member of the parliament has abused the power for which he was given, can he be prosecuted?

a simple chatgpt question will provide answer.
but anyways, yes members of congress can and will face prosecution for illegal acts, including abuse of power.

as an example, minority (not the main) opposition party leader Cho was imprisoned last December.
