Some screamer on CNBC started a great analogy which we can keep extending:

You are driving along a highway, someone decides they need to fix a part of it which did not need fixing and diverts you down a badly constructed bumpy temporary detour. When you get back on the highway, they throw some spikes on the road.

But fear not, there are a couple of ambulances on stand by, which may or may not take you to a hospital that you may or may not be able to afford. The spikes may or may not work and may or may not blow up your car.

Trump's non-sequitur reply to your analogy: "Relax, you're driving an American car."

But the pain of your car breaking down is all part of the plan, a car can't be fixed unless I deliberately break it first.

I got some sterling during the Truss Lettuce debacle. I needed to convert it back to HKD and it was nice to be able to reap some more 'profits' thanks to the Tangerine tanking the US dollar over the past few weeks. It'll probably go down more, but I don't have the time to see how it pans out.

Imagine your president calling the fed chair a major loser because he has a brain and integrity not to give in to your selfish demands of lowering interest rates. Rates you want lowered to cover up your dumb decisions & counter the plunge in the market which you single handedly caused.

We are living in a South Park episode.
