Not to mention Judas' radical opening song

    Heaven On Their Minds Lyrics

    JUDAS

    My mind is clearer now.
    At last all too well
I can see where we all soon will be.
If you strip away The myth from the man,
You will see where we all soon will be. Jesus!
    You've started to believe
The things they say of you.
    You really do believe
This talk of God is true.
And all the good you've done
    Will soon get swept away.
    You've begun to matter more
    Than the things you say.

Listen Jesus I don't like what I see.
All I ask is that you listen to me.
And remember, I've been your right hand man all along.
You have set them all on fire.
They think they've found the new Messiah.
And they'll hurt you when they find they're wrong.

I remember when this whole thing began.
No talk of God then, we called you a man.
And believe me, my admiration for you hasn't died.
But every word you say today
Gets twisted 'round some other way.
And they'll hurt you if they think you've lied.
Nazareth, your famous son should have stayed a great unknown
Like his father carving wood He'd have made good.
Tables, chairs, and oaken chests would have suited Jesus best.
He'd have caused nobody harm; no one alarm.

Listen, Jesus, do you care for your race?
Don't you see we must keep in our place?
We are occupied; have you forgotten how put down we are?

I am frightened by the crowd.
For we are getting much too loud.
And they'll crush us if we go too far.
    If they go too far....

Listen, Jesus, to the warning I give.
Please remember that I want us to live.
But it's sad to see our chances weakening with every hour.
    All your followers are blind.
Too much heaven on their minds.
It was beautiful, but now it's sour.
    Yes it's all gone sour.

Listen, Jesus, to the warning I give.
Please remember that I want us to live.
    C'mon, c'mon
He won't listen to me ...
    C'mon, c'mon
He won't listen to me ...

We usually host an Easter Dinner but we're worn out this year and are going out to eat pizza instead.

When you call my name, it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour, I can feel your power
Just like a prayer, you know I'll take you there

    I hear your voice
    It's like an angel sighin'
    I have no choice
    I hear your voice
    Feels like flying

    I close my eyes
Oh God I think I'm fallin'
    Out of the sky
    I close my eyes
    Heaven help me

People need 'faith' and and for it to be organised and that is not going to change
The question is why is it an innate need? Wesleyan Christians would call it prevenient grace, being drawn by God. Creating a feeling that there is something supernatural. Our choice whether to respond or not.

I lived for 48 years without responding.

Survival? There are many innate traits in humans.

Needing to be part of a 'tribe' and have a belief in something that can't be fully explained probably has something to do with evolutionary survival.

    Why does altruism exists?

I really disagree. I think this paradigm that you should "feel" some spiritual presence and respond to it, and if you don't, you're missing out on the truth/real life, is - sorry - bullshit. And it has baffled me my whole life why (some) Christians make up this narrative, basically guilt-tripping anyone who can't magically conjure up this belief or feeling. Everyone, through various circumstances, including as Eastcoast mentions where they happen to be born, comes to their understanding (or lack thereof) of their existence and the way the world around them.

I happened to grow up in a world telling me "to respond" as you did and I simply do not feel, see, or understand this "presence" yet I see all the suffering it entails. So, according to what you say, I am wrong, neglecting something in front of me, and so on. It's insulting to be told this. I'd love to have some clarify, I'm sitting here, waiting, but it just doesn't not exist as a belief for me or for some. That's just the way it is.

I think that's great and fine for those who have it, and I support and accept that. But why is that acceptance not mutual of others beliefs as genuine and true?
