More chance of the UK winning the Eurovision than a Pope from the US.

There you go! You got your "Yi."

But, she's a girl, but, hey, it's a brave new Catholic Church, I'm open to it...

And, for the love of all that is good and holy PLEASE do NOT let Donald Trump attend Francis's funeral and turn it into a 3-ring circus (which he will somehow manage to do if he attends).

Send JD who, while awful, at least will be respectful

The Pope was a head of state, even though it's only tiny Vatican city, so state funeral and all that.

The US must have a huge trade deficit with the Vatican.

I would love it...kind of like Conclave, just some rando and then starts getting more votes when the two deadlocked candidates mutually canceled each other out.

Seriously, read here about JP II election in '78 (grandparents still upset about sudden death of JP I, yeah, I remember...). That's how these cool things happen. I suspect it will happen again because none of the frontrunners are so strong that it's obvious.

Ratzinger (Benedict) was way up there in the heirarchy and was widely speculated to be successor so it was zero surprise when he was elected. No one was happy, not even Ratzinger.

Francis says how THAT voting went and how some tried to block Ratzinger using Francis.

You can see how a movie got made because, yeah, this is how it goes...I think there was more poisoning and murder and such in the old days but now such things are frowned upon...

Just don't give him anything to hold... Esp if ashes are involved.

Never rule out a last minute plot twist.

Yes, we send them the BULK of their money and yet, we don't get many cardinals. Whereas Italy, damn, everyone and his brother is a cardinal.

But I don't think I saw their tariff rate on Trump's chart, maybe JD was busy discussing that with Pope Francis before his death...
