Fair enough, seems a bit weird though.

We were helping a work associate of ours look around for a rental apartment in the area, and had a good look around, to get an idea what the rents being charged were, as we live a 10 minute walk from the Gold Coast.

I still have Sino's price list in my filling cabinet, prices today should be 20% higher than what would have been negotiated back in 2006.

Something isn't adding up, but they do charge $1500 or $2000 more a month for a furnished place. But even considering that, it still seems high.

15 minutes walk away, Aqua Blue are charging $18,500 ( less than 4 years old ) for an 8th floor ( building is only 10 floors ) 1189 ft2, 3 bedroom, maids nook, gas oven, 2bathrooms, a sea plus pool view, inc a car space,.....so..... something sounds fishy.

Hi, I live in Gold Coast phase 2 and really enjoy it. Phase 2 is not all owned by sino and we leased from a private owner. It's cheaper to lease private, we rent for $7200 per month for a 2 bedroom apartment. You can go directly to gold coast, there is a "Gold Estate Agency" across the road from the shopping mall which has all the listings and can help you rent an apertment right away. Just turn up, they have the keys for viewing. The reason we chose GC phase 2 is because of the great facilities. We looked at a lot of the newer developments and found that they are a lot less spacious, it seems that the plot ratio is a lot higher as they try to maximise the use of the land. Also, the GC apartments have a much better layout and the size quoted is more accurate. The newer apartments seem much smaller and are often oddly shaped to maximise space usage.

shabu shabu what is the sq footage of your flat?

As Phase 2 @ GC has about six different size options.

It's the smallest size, around 700sf with no balcony but has a sea view.
