Go to FINDS in TST. Many Dainish people hang out there. I am sure they are happy to meet and chat to you.

    Hej!

    Danish here and now Introduction

I lived in Denmark for a year or so and Sweden after that.

Both countries offer loads of good, free on line courses, Denmark kind of has to given it's draconian immigration policies in the European context.

Anyway, it's pretty easy compared to learning say, Cantonese!!! I think the difficult part in speaking is swallowing consonants, same as listening, takes a while to hear the words due to the softening of the consonants. Swedish is easier IMO but if you want to live in Denmark..... Finnish on the other hand is completely different, Swedes, Danes and Norwegians can communicate with each other but it doesn't work with the Finns.

    Good luck!

    Hello!
I see this is an old tread so you might not need a danish speaker any longer, but anyways: I am danish, and soon coming to Hong Kong to conduct research for my dissertation and I would be happy to help - perhaps you could provide some local knowledge and posibly cantonese/mandarin - english translation in return
