Learning Latin American Spanish

Hi there, i'm interested in learning Latin American Spanish in HK. Does anyone know or recommend where I can take a class with native speakers? it seems like many teachers are from Spain.

Honestly, I do not think there is that much difference between LatAM Spanish compared to Spain Spanish. I would say it is similar to the difference between Mandarin from Beijinger, Mandarin from Shanghai and Mandarin from Taiwan. You should just learn Spanish and pick up the colloquial words from the region when you speak to the LatAm guys.

Full disclaimer: This is coming from someone that has been told that I spoke "Mexican Spanish" from an Argentinian and a Spaniard. I know which words I use more compared to the Argentinians and there are definitely some words that starts with "Tx" from Spanish Spanish that LatAm won't use.

Would be interested in language exchange as well. I speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Sorry... I am not at the level to teach Spanish to anybody and I already speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Being Spanish myself, I fully agree with tigger716 comment. There are a few words that have a local meaning (and hey, not Latin American, but separately Argentinean, Mexican, ...) and a couple of small grammar differences. Then accent differences, but same than English from UK-Australia-Scotland-...

I don't speak Chinese so I can't say anything about that example, but I would say that differences are only "slightly" bigger than American English and British English.
