You don't? If I got something like that as a reply to a language exchange request it would really put me off. Anyway, as I said, since she put her email address and has said nothing since I would assume that people replied to that.

...and i had assumed that the OP had received no such response by email.

With due respect, it was a light hearted post and making an issue of what has been done, just amounts to us all gatecrashing this thread...C'est la vie (dunno this in German!)

    Guten Tag Alles,

    Thanks for replying my thread.
I do have some replies to my language exchange.
Occasionally, some of the threads here really get a few or even no respond...
so i am glad that it doesn't happen to my thread...

But as Satay said, no respond of the thread doesnt mean no one contact, they may do it in a private way.

Anyways, it would be great if the replies are more related to my request instead of other information.

    Cheers,
    Trianne

    German - Putonghua

    Hi Trianne,

I saw this ad. My name is Dandy, from Germany, living for 10 years in various countries. Since 2.5 years in HK I have been studying Putonghua ever since, and need to sharpen my listening / pronounciation skills.
In return I can have conversations in either English or German with you.

How about meeting up once per week or so to practise? My personal e-mail is [email protected]

    BR

Im not a teacher ,so you dont have to be neither. Just looking for a learning partner. I could exchange my cantonese in return.

Write me a msg if u are interested n we could figure out how its gonna work!!!!
