None. What OS you have? In Linux and Windows it's part of the system and just need to be activated. 我不明白你说什么。。。

Once Chinese is running you can just switch the character types at the language bar. 美国/美國

Pinyin Joe's Chinese Computing Help Desk - Windows, Ubuntu Linux, smartphones, macros and more has lots of information.

    I use Sogou IME: http://pinyin.sogou.com/

No need to dl anything. Simply add the Chinese keyboard. That's it.

To get the Chinese input on...:

    iOS
Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard...

    Android
Settings > Language & Input > Keyboard and Input Methods

Both OS have several options, including Pinyin or handwriting, on both OS you have both, or even more.
