Improve your English with a native English speaker

    Hello all,

I have recently moved to HK with my wife from London, having lived there all my life.
I work flexible hours from home so have some time most week day afternoons to assist any advanced learners with their spoken and written English, in exchange for hints and tips on HK living.
I am highly educated (engineering and banking) and speak perfect ‘RP’.
I only ask that we meet around Tin Hau/Causeway Bay/Fortress Hill area.

If interested please leave me a short message with a little about yourself.

    Regards
    J

Not sure an English-language expat forum would be the best place to attract students...

    RP - Received Pronunciation.

If you are querying the 'perfect' bit then yes, i am happy to accept it is impossible to give a 'perfect score' on something that is so subjective and continually evolving. I just used the word as short hand to signify a high degree of understanding and conscious practical implementation on the matter.
More accurately i would be happy to expound on the related topics of grammar, vocabulary, syntax and style of both spoken and written English.

New to HK and this forum...but assumed the 'Language Exchange' section would be the best place to post.....no? English for native tips on HK?
Not looking for students as such.... i have no teaching qualifications. But happy to assist the odd person or two looking to refine their English language skills.

I am a local and l have lived all my life in this city. Yet I would like to make friends with folks from different culture. I definitely love RP accent. In fact, I did a Master's degree in linguistics to deepen myself in language studies. PM me if you would like to mingle with a local geek.
