Sounds like fun! And learning some German/Italian would really be good for work I speak Cantonese and Mandarin (a bit) if anyone would like to learn that.

    Hi everyone,
I saw a starbucks in pacific place (admiralty exit F), it is outside on the top, if from the first floor you take the lift to the 4th floor right next to the HSBC, it was spacious and it might be a quiet one after office hours. Any other ideas?

I really like the starbucks in Alexandra House/Landmark. It's absolutely HUGE and has a ton of nice sofa areas to sit at. The place also clears out around 7 so it's pretty easy to get a seat after that. I'm not sure if it closes early though. Does anyone know?

If anyone here is allergic to starbucks, the best bet would be to find a quiet bar before the evening rush hits, which probably means somewhere without a crazy happy hour. I think the problem with a cafe would be that most of them would be doing dinner and probably wouldn't appreciate a bunch of people just sitting around drinking coffee! Unless we wanted to do dinner too...

thanks for organising and looking forward to our meeting!!
cafes are fine for me, what about those upstairs cafes ? quiet places and they don't close until like 10pm or something, but the only problem is i am not sure where we can find one in hong kong island, i only know a few on kowloon side.. hk island would be more convenient for everybody...

I think the Landmark starbucks closes at 9pm. Another suggestion I have is Fringe Club since the place (cafe or rooftop terrace) is relatively quiet during the week and especially at that time. Their coffee is really good too!! Look forward to meeting you all.

Another place just came into my mind:
Life Organic Health Cafe, that if you do not mind healthy food once in a while
It is situated along the escalator on Shelly Street in SoHo, Central, this place has an upstairs, but i do not know how big it is, I only had lunch there on the lower floor. They serve Bkfst, Lnch, Tea and Dinner.

    Michelle,
what are your suggestions on the Kowloon side, maybe if a lot of us are on this side, we should do it here.

I heve never been at the Fringe Club, but have seen it, is it not really close to the central MTR? If that is the case it is easier accessible that Life.

ballerina, there is a building in mong kok where there are quite a lot of upstairs cafe, it's near trendy zone, so it's somewhere between yau ma tei and mong kok. i am working in central, but i don't mind going to kowloon if many of us are on kowloon side no problem for me!
