If they're not willing to give, they don't get to receive.

If you don't give blood you don't receive blood either?

Fair question .. and I have to admit I'm caught out, I haven't given blood (but I am an organ donor)

I should really consider it, will need to study

I've given blood where they would accept it. Many won't if you lived in the UK in the 80's.

I see that HK is one of these idiotic places. So I did some research so far, a grand total of 229 people GLOBALLY have got mad cow disease. Of those 177 were in the UK.

Vs how many people die globally due to shortages of blood because they cut off so many donors I wonder? Has anyone done that analysis?

imho there is no valid reason for not ticking yes to be an organ donor - any excuses are nothing more than that, excuses.
I have this paranoia from childhood years that if I agree to be an organ donor, and get into an accident(or get ill), some crooked doctors will operate me badly on purpose so that they can give the organs to someone rich and powerful. There was a rumor like this circulating in 90s post soviet countries.

Do you think your lack of information about the process and it's safeguards is a good reason to fail to help others after you have no further use for your body parts ?
