    OP, I can confirm that you can have an agent handle the rent and duties of a landlord. My landlord is overseas and one of his/her relatives has acted as the landlord, collecting rent and to solve any issues regarding our rental. I don't know what's in it for her but this sort of relationship definitely benefits the landlord because it'd just be a mess if we tried to contact him about anything.

    Someone else referred me to an agent who is now handling my apartment. Too soon to say whether she's good bur I will PM you her contact details so you can reach out.
