    We have a BBQ on our (smallish) balcony.
    Never had a complaint. Besides I think most people don't even use their balcony except to hang their clothes to dry, at least never saw people sitting their. Of course different for people with huge balconies.

    That would be my issue...not the smell of the food.

    I've never lived in apartments but I'm aware that in the U.K. at least, hanging clothes on balconies is often against the rules...here it's the norm. You have to respect that.

    That said, I believe some newer apartments discourage the practice of hanging laundry on balconies...perhaps check first??

    Thanks, everybody. The movers came for the sea shipment yesterday and took the grill!
